Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Media & Publishing and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Electrical Industries Co (SE:1303), which rose 9.89% or 2.25 points to trade at 25.00 at the close. Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Co (SE:2380) added 9.81% or 1.05 points to end at 11.75 and Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213) was up 9.58% or 1.25 points to 14.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi vitrified clay pipes co. (SE:2360), which lost 8.78% or 5.75 points to trade at 59.75 in late trade. Malath Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8020) declined 7.60% or 0.65 points to end at 7.90 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (SE:8150) shed 6.06% or 0.90 points to 13.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 80 to 78 and 12 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.02% or 0.52 to $51.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.00% or 0.54 to hit $54.46 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.65% or 7.85 to trade at $1204.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.38% to 4.0019, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 101.03.
