Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi), which rose 4.00% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.520 at the close. Milpo (LM:MIL) added 3.62% or 0.120 points to end at 3.430 and Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) was up 2.47% or 0.020 points to 0.830 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 2.73% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.321 in late trade. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 2.70% or 0.030 points to end at 1.080 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) shed 2.63% or 1.00 points to 37.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 11 to 7 and 12 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.16% or 0.61 to $53.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.31% or 0.72 to hit $55.80 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.05 to trade at $1234.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.03% to 3.2850, while EUR/PEN rose 0.92% to 3.4739.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 101.42.
