Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Finmeccanica (MILAN:SIFI), which rose 5.41% or 0.640 points to trade at 12.470 at the close. Meanwhile, Moncler SpA (MILAN:MONC) added 1.95% or 0.30 points to end at 15.68 and A2A (MILAN:A2) was up 0.87% or 0.010 points to 1.155 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (MILAN:TLIT), which fell 3.11% or 0.0350 points to trade at 1.0890 at the close. Banco Popolare Sc (MILAN:BAPO) declined 1.84% or 0.2800 points to end at 14.9700 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MILAN:BMPS) was down 1.79% or 0.0330 points to 1.8110.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 310 to 115 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.44% or 1.12 to $44.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.63% or 0.80 to hit $48.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.61% or 6.80 to trade at $1102.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.44% to 1.1330, while EUR/GBP rose 0.56% to 0.7345.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 95.26.
