Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Sandvik AB (ST:SAND), which rose 3.00% or 2.50 points to trade at 85.75 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) added 2.59% or 6.6 points to end at 261.0 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 1.37% or 2.0 points to 148.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b), which lost 1.89% or 1.35 points to trade at 70.00 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.61% or 1.35 points to end at 82.75 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) shed 1.26% or 1.00 points to 78.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 304 to 257 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.80% or 0.90 to $49.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.82% or 0.92 to hit $49.73 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.51% or 19.45 to trade at $1272.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.27% to 9.3013, while USD/SEK rose 0.20% to 8.2591.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 94.01.
