Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Media & Publishing and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Etihad Etisalat Co (SE:7020), which rose 4.66% or 1.30 points to trade at 29.20 at the close. United Wire Factories Company (SE:1301) added 4.03% or 1.10 points to end at 28.40 and Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) was up 3.81% or 1.50 points to 40.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190), which lost 8.27% or 1.05 points to trade at 11.65 in late trade. Dar Alarkan Real Estate Development (SE:4300) declined 4.20% or 0.30 points to end at 6.85 and Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (SE:8260) shed 3.89% or 0.65 points to 16.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 56 and 26 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.89% or 0.88 to $45.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.89% or 0.90 to hit $46.71 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.21% or 2.75 to trade at $1330.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.16% to 4.1443, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 96.62.
