Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.47% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which rose 2.19% or 220.0 points to trade at 10280.0 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p) added 2.08% or 220.0 points to end at 10780.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 1.92% or 25.0 points to 1325.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which lost 3.02% or 35.0 points to trade at 1125.0 in late trade. Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) declined 1.75% or 420.0 points to end at 23580.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) shed 1.25% or 55.0 points to 4345.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.34% or 0.50 to $144.52 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 2.06% or 43.50 to hit $2157.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 10.65 to trade at $1244.65 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.09% to 2910.45, while BRL/COP fell 0.51% to 943.39.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.64% at 99.52.
