Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Basic Resources and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which rose 5.84% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.630 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) added 4.70% or 0.007 points to end at 0.156 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 4.35% or 0.060 points to 1.440 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 7.91% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.128 in late trade. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) declined 5.88% or 0.0090 points to end at 0.1440 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) shed 2.90% or 0.020 points to 0.670.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 49 to 48 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.95 to $1266.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.36% or 0.18 to hit $50.45 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $51.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.54% to 1.0869, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 98.75.
