Investing.com – Belgium equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 gained 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were ING Groep NV (AS:INGA), which rose 1.19% or 0.180 points to trade at 15.365 at the close. KBC (BR:KBC) added 1.05% or 0.740 points to end at 70.980 and Solvay SA (BR:SOLB) was up 0.76% or 0.95 points to 126.45 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ontex Group (BR:ONTEX), which lost 1.16% or 0.34 points to trade at 28.89 in late trade. Engie SA (PA:ENGIE) declined 1.07% or 0.15 points to end at 14.29 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) shed 0.90% or 0.40 points to 44.26.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 61 to 50 and 12 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.38% or 18.22 to $1298.18 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $56.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.38% to 1.1939, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8802.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 91.98.
