Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Financials and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 5.05% or 45.6 points to trade at 948.0 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 4.67% or 5.9 points to end at 132.2 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was up 4.18% or 350 points to 8714 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb), which lost 3.67% or 22.6 points to trade at 592.4 in late trade. ISS A/S (CO:ISS) declined 0.88% or 1.90 points to end at 214.70 and Tryg A/S (CO:TRYG) shed 0.63% or 1.0 points to 158.2.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.82% or 1.84 to $63.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.42% or 2.58 to hit $72.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.81% or 21.90 to trade at $1234.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.73% to 6.5476, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4594.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 96.22.
