Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.58% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which rose 0.67% or 0.40 points to trade at 60.05 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 0.61% or 1.1 points to end at 181.6 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 0.27% or 1.3 points to 475.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which lost 3.64% or 12.0 points to trade at 318.0 in late trade. Genmab (CO:GEN) declined 2.04% or 25.0 points to end at 1198.0 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) shed 1.73% or 4.6 points to 261.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 69 and 21 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.92% or 1.22 to $43.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.51% or 1.11 to hit $45.38 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.10% or 1.35 to trade at $1343.05 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.06% to 6.7133, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4364.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 96.37.
