Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 1.30% or 0.0340 points to trade at 2.6400 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 0.73% or 0.0410 points to end at 5.6260 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.57% or 0.075 points to 13.175 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 4.00% or 0.615 points to trade at 14.750 in late trade. Montepio (LS:MPIO) declined 3.03% or 0.016 points to end at 0.512 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 2.56% or 0.3500 points to 13.3100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.37% or 1.11 to $45.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.70% or 1.20 to hit $43.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.56 to trade at $1245.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1125, while EUR/GBP rose 0.73% to 0.8815.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 97.47.
