Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.06% or 0.135 points to trade at 6.675 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.56% or 0.46 points to end at 29.91 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 1.55% or 0.120 points to 7.868 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 4.02% or 1.08 points to trade at 25.77 in late trade. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 2.15% or 0.3800 points to end at 17.3200 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 2.02% or 0.245 points to 11.905.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 72 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 5.85% or 3.66 to $58.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 6.59% or 3.60 to hit $51.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.39% or 4.80 to trade at $1223.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.1334, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8843.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 96.822.
