Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 6.57% or 2.30 points to trade at 37.30 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 2.16% or 0.34 points to end at 16.07 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.58% or 0.170 points to 10.930 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 2.05% or 0.89 points to trade at 42.48 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 0.79% or 0.40 points to end at 50.55 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.79% or 0.19 points to 23.85.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 69 to 64 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.44% or 0.23 to $52.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.55% or 0.27 to hit $49.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.34 to trade at $1261.36 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.44% to 1.1743, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.9049.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 93.59.
