Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 9.19% or 2.20 points to trade at 26.15 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 3.86% or 0.192 points to end at 5.162 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.51% or 0.104 points to 6.986 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 2.96% or 0.85 points to trade at 27.83 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 2.05% or 0.345 points to end at 16.500 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 1.64% or 0.160 points to 9.580.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 83 to 60 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.76% or 0.55 to $72.71 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.30% or 0.20 to hit $67.36 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.70 to trade at $1226.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.1659, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 94.75.
