Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.00% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.79% or 0.142 points to trade at 5.230 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.58% or 0.202 points to end at 8.040 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 2.40% or 0.12 points to 5.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.05% or 1.36 points to trade at 64.94 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 0.60% or 0.15 points to end at 24.85 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.39% or 0.10 points to 25.76.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 57 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.63% or 1.22 to $76.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.20% or 0.84 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1314.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1933, while EUR/GBP fell 0.51% to 0.8796.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 92.54.
