Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.16% or 0.14 points to trade at 6.38 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.79% or 0.24 points to end at 30.57 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 0.40% or 0.0300 points to 7.5900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 1.50% or 0.060 points to trade at 3.938 in late trade. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.16% or 0.56 points to end at 47.76 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 1.13% or 0.44 points to 38.58.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 78 to 71 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.15% or 0.10 to $65.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $59.64 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.20 to trade at $1296.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.48% to 1.1953, while EUR/GBP rose 0.10% to 0.8886.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.39% at 92.30.
