Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 5.29% or 0.2180 points to trade at 4.3420 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) added 1.66% or 0.42 points to end at 25.75 and KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) was up 1.28% or 0.49 points to 38.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kesko Oyj B (HEL:KESBV), which fell 3.12% or 1.12 points to trade at 34.72 at the close. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 1.27% or 0.07 points to end at 5.44 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) was down 1.06% or 0.120 points to 11.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 86 to 82 and 6 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.30% or 0.65 to $50.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.95% or 0.88 to hit $46.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1091.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.0950, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.7014.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 97.56.
