Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HEL:VALMT), which rose 2.42% or 0.26 points to trade at 11.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HEL:ELI1V) added 1.92% or 0.59 points to end at 31.26 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) was up 1.87% or 0.160 points to 8.715 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which fell 3.12% or 0.190 points to trade at 5.895 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) declined 2.09% or 0.0880 points to end at 4.1240 and Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V) was down 0.62% or 0.040 points to 6.390.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 110 to 65 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 4.87% or 2.54 to $49.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.90% or 1.84 to hit $45.28 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.42% or 4.60 to trade at $1090.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.0949, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.7023.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.29% at 97.60.
