Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.21% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE), which fell 0.09% or 0.02 points to trade at 21.78 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) fell 0.31% or 0.10 points to end at 31.77 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HEL:NDA1V) was down 0.36% or 0.040 points to 10.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 6.94% or 0.2720 points to trade at 3.6460 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HEL:NRE1V) declined 4.68% or 1.32 points to end at 26.90 and YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) was down 4.12% or 0.28 points to 6.41.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 133 to 34 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.94% or 0.2720 to 3.6460.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.97% or 0.56 to $56.60 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 1.81% or 0.96 to hit $52.05 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.99% or 11.50 to trade at $1155.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.93% to 1.0953, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.7100.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.78% at 97.18.
