Shares in GameStop (NYSE:GME) and AMC Entertainment (NYSE:AMC) saw their Frankfurt-listed shares surge on Wednesday, continuing this week's rally following posts from Keith Gill, also known as "Roaring Kitty," a key figure in the 2021 meme stock phenomenon.
AMC's Frankfurt shares soared more than 24% in heavy trading, following a 32% jump rise in U.S. trading on Tuesday. At the same time, GameStop's Frankfurt shares jumped 23%, following a 60% surge in New York a day earlier.
Keith Gill, famous among traders as "Roaring Kitty," broke a three-year silence on social media platform X with a series of cryptic posts on Sunday.
While the posts did not mention specific companies, Gill is credited with igniting the Reddit rally in January 2021 with his bullish calls on GameStop.
