Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Travel, Household and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.30% or 0.0200 points to trade at 0.2360 at the close. Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) added 5.00% or 0.020 points to end at 0.420 and Korres (AT:KRRr) was up 4.50% or 0.200 points to 4.640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Public Power (AT:DEHr), which lost 6.72% or 0.27 points to trade at 3.75 in late trade. Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) declined 3.57% or 0.050 points to end at 1.350 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) shed 2.38% or 0.210 points to 8.600.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 64 to 41 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.29% or 3.75 to $1267.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.40% or 0.64 to hit $46.47 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.35% or 0.65 to trade at $48.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1202, while EUR/GBP rose 0.71% to 0.8840.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 97.23.
