Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 4.14% or 0.026 points to trade at 0.654 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) added 3.91% or 0.050 points to end at 1.330 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 3.33% or 0.050 points to 1.550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 10.38% or 0.027 points to trade at 0.292 in late trade. Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) declined 4.47% or 0.030 points to end at 0.641 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) shed 4.22% or 0.10 points to 2.27.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 25 and 10 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.28% or 3.55 to $1250.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.61% or 1.21 to hit $47.55 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 2.47% or 1.20 to trade at $49.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1665, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8943.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 93.77.
