Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Food and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 9.96% or 0.028 points to trade at 0.309 at the close. Meanwhile, Kleeman Hellas (AT:KLEr) added 6.67% or 0.10 points to end at 1.60 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 4.72% or 0.006 points to 0.133 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which fell 22.70% or 0.11 points to trade at 0.38 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 9.62% or 0.096 points to end at 0.902 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) was down 4.92% or 0.09 points to 1.74.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 46 to 40 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) fell to all time lows; down 22.70% or 0.11 to 0.38.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.39% or 15.80 to $1122.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.56% or 0.22 to hit $39.09 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.03 to trade at $43.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.94% to 1.1410, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.7346.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.80% at 94.67.
