Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 3.00% or 0.39 points to trade at 13.41 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) added 1.87% or 0.56 points to end at 30.50 and Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) was up 1.81% or 0.0620 points to 3.4920 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bper Banca SpA (MI:EMII), which lost 3.49% or 0.164 points to trade at 4.538 in late trade. Unione di Banche Italiane SpA (MI:UBI) declined 3.00% or 0.1220 points to end at 3.9400 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) shed 2.84% or 0.66 points to 22.61.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 198 to 163 and 23 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.07% or 0.62 to $57.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.38% or 0.89 to hit $63.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 7.70 to trade at $1239.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1719, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8797.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 94.20.
