Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which rose 10.82% or 0.3520 points to trade at 3.6040 at the close. FinecoBank Banca Fineco SpA (MI:FBK) added 6.06% or 0.45 points to end at 7.79 and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) was up 5.08% or 0.720 points to 14.880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI), which lost 4.11% or 0.60 points to trade at 14.00 in late trade. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 0.91% or 0.0070 points to end at 0.7650 and Snam (MI:SRG) shed 0.52% or 0.022 points to 4.236.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 211 to 145 and 20 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.98% or 0.51 to $52.41 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.39% or 0.80 to hit $58.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.67 to trade at $1277.23 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1764, while EUR/GBP rose 0.69% to 0.8963.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 93.81.
