Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.48% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 5.52% or 0.78 points to trade at 14.82 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) added 5.34% or 0.2650 points to end at 5.2280 and Mediaset SpA (MI:MS) was up 4.34% or 0.114 points to 2.738 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Prysmian (MI:PRY), which lost 1.38% or 0.29 points to trade at 20.72 in late trade. Freni Brembo SpA (MI:BRBI) declined 0.77% or 0.09 points to end at 11.65 and Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) shed 0.46% or 0.0026 points to 0.5580.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 214 to 151 and 30 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $72.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.79% or 0.64 to hit $81.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.00 to trade at $1206.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1771, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 93.69.
