Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.43% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI), which rose 3.03% or 0.300 points to trade at 10.210 at the close. Davide Campari Milano SpA (MI:CPRI) added 2.06% or 0.12 points to end at 6.19 and Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) was up 1.69% or 0.41 points to 24.71 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI), which lost 3.62% or 0.1280 points to trade at 3.4100 in late trade. Banca Generali (MI:BGN) declined 3.13% or 0.86 points to end at 26.66 and Italgas SpA (MI:IG) shed 2.97% or 0.14 points to 4.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 267 to 96 and 10 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.49% or 0.22 to $44.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $46.91 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.56% or 19.92 to trade at $1255.98 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.64% to 1.1146, while EUR/GBP fell 0.68% to 0.8740.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 97.48.
