Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 3.70% or 0.225 points to trade at 6.300 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.92% or 0.1750 points to end at 9.2900 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.56% or 0.23 points to 14.96 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which lost 10.27% or 1.50 points to trade at 13.11 in late trade. Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) declined 1.67% or 0.56 points to end at 33.00 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.53% or 0.076 points to 4.886.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 66 to 64 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.59% or 0.32 to $54.49 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.51% or 0.26 to hit $51.29 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 9.25 to trade at $1249.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.0654, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.8539.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 100.57.
