Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Beverage, Insurance and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Stroc Industrie (CS:STR), which rose 8.35% or 2.62 points to trade at 33.99 at the close. Disway SA (CS:DWY) added 7.93% or 34.90 points to end at 474.90 and Wafa Assurance (CS:WASS) was up 6.02% or 277 points to 4877 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Total Maroc SA (CS:TMA), which lost 9.94% or 141.0 points to trade at 1277.0 in late trade. Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND) declined 5.93% or 18.20 points to end at 288.75 and Oulmes (CS:OULM) shed 5.48% or 90 points to 1551.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 16 and 8 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.44% or 0.95 to $64.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.64% or 1.26 to hit $75.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1297.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.08% to 11.0900, while USD/MAD fell 0.14% to 9.4891.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.03.
