Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Invest Companies & Other Finance, Construction & Building Materials and Holding Companies sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 7.90% or 4.90 points to trade at 66.90 at the close. Saham Assurance (CS:SAH) added 3.50% or 49 points to end at 1449 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) was up 2.86% or 0.30 points to 10.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ennakl Automobiles SA (CS:NKL), which lost 6.28% or 2.35 points to trade at 35.05 in late trade. Salafin (CS:SLF) declined 5.77% or 57 points to end at 931 and LafargeHolcim Maroc (CS:LHM) shed 2.36% or 41 points to 1699.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 14 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.84% or 1.43 to $51.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.88% or 1.11 to hit $60.20 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.60 to trade at $1232.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.04% to 10.8030, while USD/MAD fell 0.10% to 9.4908.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 96.725.
