Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Construction & Building Materials, Mining and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.96%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 6.00% or 267 points to trade at 4718 at the close. Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) added 5.95% or 8.15 points to end at 145.15 and Alliances (CS:ADI) was up 3.72% or 8 points to 223 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Taslif (CS:TSF1), which lost 5.97% or 1.61 points to trade at 25.34 in late trade. Jet Contractors (CS:JET) declined 4.68% or 19.40 points to end at 395.10 and Bmce Bank (CS:BMCE) shed 3.73% or 8.90 points to 230.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 20 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.55% or 0.35 to $63.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.83% or 0.56 to hit $67.06 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 5.00 to trade at $1331.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.02% to 11.3610, while USD/MAD rose 0.06% to 9.1850.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 89.54.
