Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc), which rose 4.46% or 1.80 points to trade at 42.16 at the close. NN Group NV (AS:NN) added 1.49% or 0.54 points to end at 36.80 and Relx NV (AS:RELN) was up 1.38% or 0.235 points to 17.250 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altice NV (AS:ATCA), which lost 2.30% or 0.18 points to trade at 7.66 in late trade. SBM Offshore NV (AS:SBMO) declined 1.18% or 0.17 points to end at 13.77 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) shed 0.81% or 0.235 points to 28.600.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 64 to 56 and 12 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.01% to 15.66.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.29% or 0.18 to $61.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $65.25 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1331.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.2317, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.8826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 89.80.
