Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc), which rose 2.54% or 1.06 points to trade at 42.87 at the close. Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) added 1.70% or 0.044 points to end at 2.633 and SBM Offshore NV (AS:SBMO) was up 1.11% or 0.15 points to 14.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which lost 3.69% or 3.480 points to trade at 90.740 in late trade. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.23% or 0.350 points to end at 28.190 and NN Group NV (AS:NN) shed 0.90% or 0.33 points to 36.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 55 and 17 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 4.05% to 14.97.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.34% or 0.84 to $63.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.17% or 0.78 to hit $67.17 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1331.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.2301, while EUR/GBP fell 0.41% to 0.8802.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 89.76.
