Investing.com – Netherlands equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the AEX were Altice NV (AS:ATCA), which rose 2.99% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.82 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) added 2.08% or 3.62 points to end at 178.02 and Koninklijke DSM NV (AS:DSMN) was up 1.74% or 1.56 points to 91.38 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ASR Nederland NV (AS:ASRNL), which lost 0.67% or 0.26 points to trade at 38.54 in late trade. Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc) declined 0.18% or 0.10 points to end at 54.82 and Royal Dutch Shell PLC Class A (AS:RDSa) shed 0.16% or 0.045 points to 28.320.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 36 and 8 ended unchanged on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.33% to 11.30.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $68.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $76.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.70 to trade at $1217.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.55% to 1.1687, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.9062.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 94.64.
