BROOMFIELD, Colo. - NetJets, the global private aviation company, has entered into a 10-year agreement with Gogo (NASDAQ:GOGO) Business Aviation to enhance the in-flight connectivity across its fleet. This upgrade includes Gogo's advanced 5G services and the Galileo Low Earth Orbit (LEO) broadband satellite service for its U.S. and European aircraft, respectively.

This move is aimed at providing NetJets Owners with improved Wi-Fi capabilities, essential for both work and entertainment during flights. Brad Ferrell, NetJets' Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, emphasized the importance of reliable connectivity for their clients, saying, "Our Owners require reliable connectivity to continue their workday or connect with entertainment in-flight, which made AVANCE L5 and Gogo 5G the right platform to meet their needs, especially when traveling across America. Meanwhile, Gogo Galileo is an ideal solution for our European jets: It delivers high performance, it can be installed on any of our aircraft, and it's backed by Gogo's award-winning global customer support."

The agreement enables NetJets to retrofit its entire fleet with Gogo AVANCE L5, which is expected to triple current performance levels, and Gogo 5G, which is anticipated to significantly enhance performance further with average speeds around 25 Mbps and peak speeds of 75-80 Mbps. Gogo 5G is scheduled for launch in the third quarter of 2024.

Gogo's president and chief operating officer, Sergio Aguirre, expressed excitement over the continued partnership with NetJets, highlighting the performance improvements that the AVANCE L5 and 5G upgrades will bring to over 450 U.S. aircraft.

The Gogo Galileo service, expected to launch in the second half of 2024, promises to deliver speeds multiple times faster than current geosynchronous satellite systems and will be available for NetJets' European fleet.

The Gogo Galileo service offers two antenna options for installation on various sizes of business aircraft. The HDX antenna can be installed on any size business aircraft, while the FDX antenna is designed for larger aircraft, promising best-in-class performance.
