Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Beverage, Mining and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Cartier Saada (CS:CRS), which rose 5.98% or 1.06 points to trade at 18.78 at the close. IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC) added 5.13% or 2.78 points to end at 56.88 and Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) was up 5.10% or 68 points to 1400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Managem (CS:MNG), which lost 5.83% or 52 points to trade at 838 in late trade. Holcim Maroc SA (CS:HOL) declined 4.39% or 90 points to end at 1960 and Brasseries Du Maroc (CS:SBM) shed 4.12% or 68 points to 1582.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 27 to 8 and 12 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.06% or 1.26 to $42.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.63% or 1.13 to hit $44.04 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.65% or 20.40 to trade at $1255.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.01% to 10.9440, while USD/MAD fell 0.57% to 9.6188.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.53% at 93.95.
