Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 3.70% or 0.0020 points to trade at 0.0560 at the close. Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 3.05% or 0.360 points to end at 12.170 and Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) was up 1.93% or 0.82 points to 43.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Compania Minera Milpo SAA Class I (LM:MILi), which lost 12.55% or 0.320 points to trade at 2.230 in late trade. Milpo (LM:MIL) declined 4.33% or 0.190 points to end at 4.200 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) shed 3.65% or 0.050 points to 1.320.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 12 to 12 and 15 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.69% or 0.45 to $65.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.52% or 0.37 to hit $71.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 7.80 to trade at $1191.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.34% to 3.3230, while EUR/PEN rose 0.81% to 3.7915.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 96.00.
