Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 1.00% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Volcan Compania Minera SAA (LM:VOLa), which rose 15.12% or 0.310 points to trade at 2.360 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) unchanged 7.27% or 0.00 points to end at 0.06 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) was up 6.67% or 0.01 points to 0.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Relapasa (LM:REL), which lost 1.96% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.250 in late trade. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 0.81% or 0.050 points to end at 6.150 and ENGIE Energia Peru SA (LM:ENGI) shed 0.76% or 0.060 points to 7.890.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 27 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.02% or 0.53 to $51.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $57.26 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.32 to trade at $1290.12 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2660, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8530.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 92.95.
