Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Banking & Financials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi), which rose 4.22% or 0.880 points to trade at 21.750 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 2.00% or 0.005 points to end at 0.255 and Luz Del Sur (LM:LUZ) was up 1.63% or 0.200 points to 12.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 11.03% or 0.029 points to trade at 0.234 in late trade. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) declined 6.67% or 0.01 points to end at 0.07 and Atacocha (LM:ATB) shed 3.77% or 0.020 points to 0.510.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 13 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.49% or 0.32 to $66.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $76.39 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1304.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.13% to 3.2664, while EUR/PEN rose 0.23% to 3.8506.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.56.
