Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Mining sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which rose 7.44% or 0.090 points to trade at 1.300 at the close. Sider (LM:SID) added 5.00% or 0.030 points to end at 0.630 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 2.50% or 0.020 points to 0.820 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which lost 3.91% or 0.090 points to trade at 2.210 in late trade. Casa Grande (LM:CSG) declined 3.48% or 0.200 points to end at 5.550 and Minsur (LM:MINi) shed 2.16% or 0.040 points to 1.810.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 10 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.25% or 0.17 to $68.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.43% or 0.32 to hit $74.42 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.49% or 6.50 to trade at $1324.40 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was down 0.06% to 3.2345, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.9260.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 91.31.
