Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Property, Industrials and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO), which rose 2.59% or 2.90 points to trade at 114.90 at the close. Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) added 2.29% or 1.95 points to end at 87.10 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was up 1.20% or 1.5000 points to 126.0000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SM Prime Holdings Inc (PS:SMPH), which lost 2.79% or 0.800 points to trade at 27.900 in late trade. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) declined 1.91% or 4.800 points to end at 246.000 and Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) shed 1.87% or 0.140 points to 7.350.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 81 and 50 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.44% or 5.55 to $1269.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.73% or 0.37 to hit $50.89 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.60% or 0.31 to trade at $51.77 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.08% to 7.1201, while USD/PHP rose 0.15% to 48.255.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 98.70.
