Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Construction, Media and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which rose 3.90% or 1.82 points to trade at 48.50 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 3.55% or 3.08 points to end at 89.74 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was up 3.31% or 0.33 points to 10.29 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR), which lost 2.80% or 4.40 points to trade at 152.60 in late trade. Kruk SA (WA:KRU) declined 2.72% or 6.20 points to end at 221.80 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) shed 2.24% or 1.60 points to 69.85.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 223 to 208 and 181 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.30% or 0.85 to $64.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.50% or 0.38 to hit $75.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.60 to trade at $1303.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.42% to 4.2630, while USD/PLN fell 0.94% to 3.6192.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 93.54.
