Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which rose 5.24% or 2.31 points to trade at 46.42 at the close. Meanwhile, OrangePL (WA:OPL) added 3.79% or 0.27 points to end at 7.40 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGHM) was up 3.66% or 3.07 points to 86.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which fell 3.90% or 2.24 points to trade at 55.16 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 3.15% or 0.39 points to end at 12.00 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was down 2.48% or 4.00 points to 157.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 279 to 275 and 103 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.24% or 2.31 to 46.42.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 4.39% or 2.03 to $48.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 4.98% or 2.46 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.89% or 10.10 to trade at $1147.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.09% to 4.2416, while USD/PLN fell 0.75% to 3.7659.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.63% at 95.62.
