Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Basic Materials and Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP), which rose 3.51% or 0.20 points to trade at 5.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 2.92% or 2.66 points to end at 93.81 and Lubelski Wegiel Bogdanka SA (WA:LWBP) was up 1.68% or 1.09 points to 66.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which fell 3.89% or 0.45 points to trade at 11.11 at the close. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) declined 2.19% or 0.98 points to end at 43.76 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was down 2.17% or 0.31 points to 13.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 319 to 239 and 109 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.05% or 0.90 to $44.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.03% or 0.01 to hit $47.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.39% or 4.30 to trade at $1103.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.19% to 4.1997, while USD/PLN rose 0.25% to 3.7273.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 95.79.
