Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 4.57% or 0.1780 points to trade at 4.0700 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) added 2.49% or 0.210 points to end at 8.630 and Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) was up 2.41% or 0.37 points to 15.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V), which fell 7.21% or 0.47 points to trade at 5.99 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V) declined 1.07% or 0.065 points to end at 5.990 and Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) was down 0.89% or 0.21 points to 23.29.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 78 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.35% or 0.18 to $53.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.56% or 0.74 to hit $48.13 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.18% or 2.00 to trade at $1094.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.33% to 1.1051, while EUR/GBP fell 0.69% to 0.7077.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 96.80.
