Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Banking & Financials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 3.15% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.328 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) added 2.33% or 0.020 points to end at 0.880 and Buenaventura (LM:BVN) was up 1.91% or 0.230 points to 12.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX), which lost 10.34% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.05 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 8.15% or 0.220 points to end at 2.480 and Credicorp (LM:BAP) shed 2.36% or 3.74 points to 155.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 10 to 9 and 13 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.83% or 0.44 to $52.74 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.50 to trade at $1286.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2515, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.4636.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 100.20.
