Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Biomed and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.11% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Partner (TA:PTNR), which rose 1.37% or 26 points to trade at 1930 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.18% or 32 points to end at 2753 and Cellcom (TA:CEL) was up 0.53% or 19 points to 3610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which lost 3.74% or 297 points to trade at 7648 in late trade. Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) declined 3.64% or 690.0 points to end at 18250.0 and Harel (TA:HARL) shed 2.62% or 51 points to 1894.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 260 to 126 and 50 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.13% or 0.07 to $53.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.29% or 0.16 to hit $55.70 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 7.95 to trade at $1286.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.51% to 3.6602, while EUR/ILS rose 0.14% to 3.8886.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 100.40.
