Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financial Services, Transport and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (SE:8260), which rose 7.72% or 0.84 points to trade at 11.72 at the close. Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160) added 7.34% or 1.30 points to end at 19.00 and Tabuk Cement Co. (SE:3090) was up 4.19% or 0.52 points to 12.92 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yanbu National Petrochemical Co (SE:2290), which lost 2.68% or 1.70 points to trade at 61.80 in late trade. Al Alamiya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8280) declined 2.06% or 0.50 points to end at 23.80 and Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (SE:6070) shed 1.93% or 0.46 points to 23.36.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 76 and 16 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.16% or 0.65 to $56.90 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.39% or 0.87 to hit $63.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.08% or 15.15 to trade at $1423.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.10% to 4.2348, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 96.243.
