Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Trading, Motors and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Kalamazoo Systems PLC (CM:KZOO), which rose 50.00% or 981.80 points to trade at 2945.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) added 11.11% or 0.100 points to end at 1.000 and SMB Leasing PLC (CM:SEMB) was up 10.00% or 0.10 points to 1.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ceylon Hospitals PLC (CM:CHL), which fell 15.69% or 18.80 points to trade at 101.00 at the close. Blue Diamonds Jewellery Worldwide PLC (CM:BLUE) declined 7.69% or 0.10 points to end at 1.30 and Muller & Phipps PLC (CM:MULL) was down 7.14% or 0.10 points to 1.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 125 to 109 and 22 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.97% or 0.42 to $44.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.58% or 0.28 to hit $47.62 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.50 to trade at $1105.20 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 0.10% to 215.845, while USD/LKR rose 0.05% to 139.895.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 95.40.
