Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Chemicals and Mining sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares added 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Jet Contractors (CS:JET), which rose 9.96% or 12.95 points to trade at 142.95 at the close. Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) added 8.55% or 14.80 points to end at 188.00 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) was up 8.09% or 3.64 points to 48.62 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Timar (CS:TIM), which lost 7.76% or 20.30 points to trade at 241.20 in late trade. Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) declined 3.96% or 0.99 points to end at 24.01 and Lesieur Cristal (CS:LESU) shed 3.25% or 5.30 points to 157.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 31 to 8 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 3.24% or 1.50 to $47.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.98% or 1.45 to hit $50.05 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.57 to trade at $1251.73 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.04% to 11.1040, while USD/MAD fell 0.07% to 9.5266.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.82.
